This was sketched on location, I love the fresh blue colour of the sky, unusually devoid of clouds for me. Details such as the wet gleaming pebbles in the foreground and the line of pebbles set into the concrete sea defences were fun to include. Looking closely at this painting you can see the wet footprints from the couple in the foreground and a man straining with a fishing rod.
