Description
This is the view from the side of Headon Warren, it is from a less used path so slightly more prickly than the main but worth it for the stunning elevated view of Totland Bay, Colwell Bay and Hurst Spit with lighthouse. The water moves very fast through the narrow gap between the island and the mainland here. This is a popular place for swimming across the Solent and groups such as the West wight Swimming Pool and the Samaritans run well organised swim crossings. With the warm weather and lighter traffic I have seen a lot of Goldfinches around this year and couldn’t resist putting a cheeky one in the foreground.
