The green huts with children running across the green grass and sea beyond make an uplifting picture. When I first started painting an established local artist said he applauded my use of green in my paintings, he went on to say that most artists painted gold or blue instead of actual green. Enjoying colour and the impressionists ethos I aim to bring out the colours in everything I see. The idea of not using such a verdant colour around us in such abundance seems like madness to me.
